Meet the Staff
|
Steve McAlister - Pastor
Steve became Pineville Park's pastor on March 14, 2010 after having served as assistant pastor and young marrieds minister at Calvary Baptist Church in Alexandria since 2003. He is a 1987 graduate of Northeast Louisiana University and earned a law degree from Louisiana State University in 1990. Steve practiced law in Louisiana until 1997 when he became a full-time mediator in private practice. In 2002, Steve surrendered to the ministry and was ordained in June of 2006 shortly after earning a Masters of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Steve is married to the former Kimberly Walker of Natchitoches. Kimberly has a doctorate in education and is an associate professor in the College of Education at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. Steve and Kimberly are the parents of Sarah, a senior at Alexandria Senior High and Andrew, a freshman at Alexandria Senior High.
Besides having a passion for leading the local church, Steve is an avid duck hunter and has been a high school football official for 19 years. He loves to cook and claims to own well over 50 cookbooks! He claims gumbo as his specialty but loves to cook Italian. He asked for and received a pasta attachment for his Kitchen Aid stand mixer for Christmas!

Tom Lott – Minister of Music and Education
Tom, has been serving full time in the ministry for the past 30 years through churches in Louisiana and Texas. He has been Minister of Music at Pineville Park since 1986 and as the need arose added other responsibilities at the church. He has served in the present capacity since 1997. His under graduate work was at the University of Texas at El Paso, where he received a Bachelor of Music Education Degree (teaching certificate for all levels of music). His graduate work was at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He received his Master of Church Music degree in June of 1973. He was ordained to the Gospel Ministry by Immanuel Baptist Church in El Paso, Texas where he served as Minister of Music. He and his wife, Betty, have been married for 30 years and they have one grown daughter, Amye Wilson, who is married and lives in Dallas.

Alanna Arceneaux– Youth & Children's Minister
Alanna joined Pineville Park in February, 2011 as Minister to Children and Youth. Originally from Lafayette, she graduated from UL, Lafayette with a degree in elementary education. She taught in the Rapides Parish school system for 3 years before moving into full time ministry as the Associate Student Minister at Calvary Baptist Church in Alexandria, LA. Following her time at Calvary, Alanna moved to Fort Worth to study at Southwestern Seminary. She graduated in May, 2008 with a Master of Arts in Christian Education, concentrating in Youth Ministry and Women’s Ministry. Following graduation, Alanna moved to Birmingham where she served as a Student Minister at the Church at Brook Hills.
Moving to Pineville has allowed Alanna to be back “home” where she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her twin nieces! Alanna’s favorite pastimes include, reading, sewing, and baking. She has found a creative outlet in cupcakes and bakes them regularly!

Christi Bates -Administrative Assistant
Christi is a recent and valuable addition to the staff at Pineville Park. Christi uses her career experiences and ministry goals to serve as our bookkeeper, financial administrator and Administrative Assistant. She's also responsible for Pineville Park's publications - our monthly newsletter The Persuader, our weekly E-Newsletter and our Worship Guide. Christi is married to Grady Bates, II. They attend Trinity Baptist Church, where Grady is the Young Adult Sunday School Teacher and serves as a Deacon. They have 2 children, Alyssa (15) who attends Buckeye High School and is active in Dance line and Power lifting and Dallas (18) who lives in San Antonio, TX where he attends Art School for Graphic Design.
